    Definition

    The indicators are calculated for the modes road, rail, maritime, aviation and oil and gas pipes. Only freight is transported through oil and gas pipes. Passenger transport on road is produced by the Danish Road Directorate and by aviation by the Danish Transport, Construction and Housing Authority. The other indicators is calculated by Statistics Denmark. Passenger transport is in million passenger-kilometres. Passenger-kilometres is the number of passengers times travelled distance. Freight transport is in thousand tonnes.
