Health worker density and distribution
Definition
The UN website on Sustainable Development Goal data presents Danish-reported figures on the availability of physicians, dentists, nurses, and pharmacists in Denmark since 2000. The data show increasing coverage for all groups except dentists.
The most recent figures are for 2021 and show the following numbers of health professionals per 10,000 inhabitants:
- Dentists: 7
- Nurses and midwives: 122
- Physicians: 72
- Pharmacists: 6
