      Jordan 2022-2025

      Statistics Denmark implement an EU-financed Twinning project in Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Our partner is Department of Statistics of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (DoS)., The implementation is done in close cooperation with the Federal Statistical Office in Germany, The Italian National Institute of Statistics and Statistics Lithuania as Junior Partners, with support from Statistics Finland. The project will run from September 2022 to March 2025., The overall objective of the Twinning Proposal is to strengthen the capacity of Jordan’s Department of Statistics in terms of compilation, analysis and reporting of statistical data in line with International and European best practices with the flowing two specific objectives, which will contribute, to delivering the strategic goals of the statistical system in Jordan. , Specific Objective 1:  To strengthen and develop Jordan’s business and population statistics in line with best international practice through the incorporation of administrative data sources., Specific Objective 2: To enhance DoS statistical outputs by developing new policy-oriented statistics and updating and strengthening current methodologies, particularly for survey-based data., The project is structured around three components:, Component 1: Integrated administrative data system, Component 2: Small Area Statistics, Component 3: Missing or erroneous data

      Ghana, Morocco and Vietnam 2019 – 2024

      A small step for an expert - a huge potential for the General Statistics Office of Vietnam

      The first version of a prototype of an integrated student register is in place in Vietnam!, 22 August 2023 13:00 ,  , During an intense mission in Hanoi, experts from Statistics Denmark succeeded in implementing a first draft version of the future Vietnamese student register based on external micro data linked to the Vietnamese national ID. All with due respect to data security issues. The implementation included development of supporting registers and design of data transmission format, as well as coding in R for data cleaning, data integration and basic test indicators. Next challenge is to get access to additional test data for further improvement of the prototype., The mission is a part of the Strategic Sector cooperation project which is running from 2022-2024 financed by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.       The future of social statistics in the Pan-African Statistics Programme 2

      The inception report, 19 August 2022 13:00 ,  ,  , All activities in the future project support the objective of reinforcing the capacity of selected African NSIs in producing independent comparable high quality social statistics, while strengthening SDG monitoring and introducing various new methodologies to reduce production costs., The expected results will occur within all phases of the data value chain, from the identification, collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of official social statistics., The results of the 4 months’ inception period for the Pan-African Statistics project PAS2 have just been presented in a new report.
