Bosnia-Herzegovina 2021-2023

Statistics Denmark is implementing an EU-financed Twinning project in Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the national statistical institutions of Finland, Sweden and Italy. The project runs from March 2021 to March 2023., The beneficiary institutions are:, Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Institute for Statistics of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Institute for Statistics of Republika Srpska, Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Indirect Taxation Authority of Bosnia and Herzegovina., The overall objective of the project is to increase the volume of statistical data in/for BiH and further increase the compliance with EU Acquis, with the specific objective to strengthen the statistical system institutional capacities and to further harmonise statistics in BiH with EU standards by improving business statistics, balance of payments, agriculture and labour market statistics and to improve reporting/statistics on collected indirect taxes., In general, the project addresses six independent components:, Component 1 - Business Statistics, with four subcomponents, Component 2 - Agricultural Statistics, Component 3 - Administrative Data Sources , Component 4 - Labour Market Statistics, Component 5 - Balance of Payment Statistics – Central Bank, Component 6 - Macroeconomic Analysis Unit of the Governing Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority, You can read more about the project on Facebook: EU Twinning - Further Support to the Reform of Statistics System in BiH

Px-format and Px-programs

Px programs for data processing and presentation of statistics, Px is a standard format for statistics files used by many statistical offices. A package of software has been developed for this format: PxWeb, PxWin and PxEdit., The Px format contains metadata (varialble texts, codes, sources, date, etc.) and data. This format can manage multi-dimensional data., The Px file format consists of a number of keywords. These can be either mandatory or optional. , PxWeb, PxWeb is a software program for online publication of statistics, both data from the StatBank and your own data. , The program is free of charge for government agencies and municipalities, international NSI's, and international organisations dissemianting statistics. , PxWin, PxWin is an application developed at Statistics Sweden. It was released in June 2016 and replaced PC-Axis. , The application can be used for selection, calculation of totals, production of graphs and more. Px files can be downloaded from the StatBank., PxEdit, PxEdit is a program for Px files developed by Statistics Finland. In PxEdit you can process your Px files in various ways. Data Processing Services

WHY THE NEED FOR A DATA PROCESSOR AGREEMENT?, According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), data processing made on behalf of others must be regulated by a contract or other legally binding document. As Statistics Denmark performs services that involve processing of our customers’ data, e.g. personal data, we must draw up a so-called data processor agreement by which the customer is the data controller and Statistics Denmark is the data processor., THE DANISH DATA PROTECTION AGENCY’S STANDARD AGREEMENT, Statistics Denmark uses the Data Protection Agency’s standard template and we use the same agreement for all services where we act as a data processor for our customers. , In addition to the data processor agreement, we also draw up a contract for the individual services., Statement of assurance, For resource and security reasons, Statistics Denmark has decided not to be open for inspections by the data controllers. Instead, Statistics Denmark has commissioned an audit report by an external auditing firm to ensure that Statistics Denmark, as a data processor, complies with the General Data Protection Regulation in its capacity of data processor.
