The multipliers connect environmental statistics with national accounts statistics at a detailed level and provides a picture of the effects that changes in economic final demand have on selected environmental variables. The environmental multipliers are aggregated measures of the total environmental effect on industries of specific changes in final demand in terms of waste generation, water consumption, generation of waste, CO2 emissions or other impacts., Statistical presentation, The environmental multiplier tables are organized in the following way. Firstly, they contain a reproduction of certain environmental data, which are also found in the Green National Accounts. Secondly, they contain an estimate of some direct effects calculated as the relative share between the same environmental data by industry and and central national accounts variables, typically total output by industry. Finally, the tables contain direct effects (in one industry) and indirect effects (all involved industries) of various types of final demand calculated with an input-output model., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, This statistics is based on two already published sources, namely the green national accounts and input-output tables. Thus, data was not collected specifically for this statistic. Certain parts of the two sources are reproduced in the tables, but the primary contribution lie in the use of an input-output model that contains both physical environmental data and economic national accounts data in the form of input-output tables. This hybrid model is used in various configurations to calculate so-called indirect (multiplier) effects., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, Users are, in principle, all who are interested in the extent to which different types of demand (consumption, investment, exports) have an impact on the environment (e.g. CO2 emissions, water consumption or waste) and in which industries the direct effect appears and which derived effects appears other industries. The tables thus link environmental issues with aspects of economic development and should therefore be of interest to users working with integrated planning of economic and environmental development., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The multipliers are the result of model calculations, which are based on national accounting statistics and input-output tables. In each section, polls and adjustments are made under assumptions, which together mean that the calculation process builds some uncertainty about the figures. At the most detailed level, therefore, one can not necessarily expect the results to be accurate representations of reality. Conclusions from the tables should be drawn with some caution, taking account of the uncertainties that may arise in the various stages of the process., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The tables have so far been published punctually in relation to the pre-announced release date. The multiplier tables, based on the energy accounts, are published for the first time approx. 6 months after the end of the reference year, while the emission multipliers are published in the first version approx. 10 months after the end of the reference year. Final figures are published at the same time as the national accounts become final, approx. 36 months after the end of the reference year., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The statistics are fully comparable over time. The two source statistics are both consistent over time. Multipliers are calculated at constant prices, which is necessary to get a correct impression of the development in an economic time series. This is not statutory statistics, but to the extent that other countries have produced a similar statistic, the results should be fully comparable, as it is known as internationally known source data and calculation methods., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, Data is only disseminated in the StatBank under , Environmental-economic accounts, , and statistics are not reported to international bodies. There are so far no publications related to it., Read more about accessibility and clarity

The accounts can be used for climate and environmental-economic analysis. The emission accounts are developed for 1990 and onwards according to EEA, System of Environmental Economic Accounting, which is a statistical standard published by the UN and several other international organizations provides the "State of the art" for Green National Accounts. The statistics is part of the Environmental-Economic Accounts for Denmark (Green National Accounts)., Statistical presentation, The air emission accounts are annually accounts on the emission of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants. The air emission accounts follow the same definitions and classification as National Accounts, which allows for analyses of the connection between the economy and air pollution. The accounts are published in a Danish press release and in StatBank under the subject , Energy and air emissions, ., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Emission accounts are compiled taking energy accounts as a starting point for the emissions caused by the use of energy. Emissions caused by other factors than energy use are added subsequently and distributed among the relevant industries., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, Environmental Accounts are relevant for those interested in the correlation between the economy on the one side and environment and natural resources on the other side. Ministries and consultant firms are among the main users of environmental accounts. Accounts are included in the overall European environmental accounts, collected and compiled by Eurostat., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, There is an uncertainty connected to the compilation of Air Emission Accounts as a combination of scientific assumptions and calculations have to be made. Uncertainty inherited in the source data is transferred to the Air Emission Accounts. However, conceptually consistent and over time uniform treatment of source data contribute to increasing the certainty of data., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, Data is normally published nine month after the reference year without delays., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The industry classification in the tables is the same as the one used in the national accounts. The tables can therefore be compared to other statistics based on the industry classification. Accounts are compiled in form of time series. For example accounts for air emissions are available for each year from 1990 until the last year that is published. Accounts are consistent and fully comparable within these years. On the more aggregated level, the Danish accounts are comparable with accounts of other EU countries compiled according to the Regulation no. 691/2011 on European environmental economic accounts., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, These statistics are published annually in a , Danish press release, , at the same time as the tables are updated in the StatBank. Land cover estimates how Denmark is covered by roads, buildings, crops, forests, lakes etc. Land use estimates for what purpose the land area of Denmark is used, e.g. for housing, industry, trade, recreation etc. Land accounts are part of the the Environmental-Economic Accounts (Green National Accounts)., Statistical presentation, Land accounts has three parts. Denmark's area in square kilometers in total and by municipalities and regions, land by land cover and land use by industry. Land by land cover and land use by industry are stated in square kilometers, square meter per capita and in percentage of the total land area, geographically divided by provinces and regions., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, The land cover accounts have been produced from consolidating a number of source maps, all of which shows aspects of Danish land cover. All the maps have been overlaid using GIS techniques and aggregated into one map. The main part of the GIS-related work has been carried out by DCE, Aarhus University. , The land use accounts have been produced by combining the Cadastral map with the registers on buildings, dwellings, businesses, municipal plans etc. The classifications from the registers have been combined and prioritized to create the classification of land by land use., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The land accounts are relevant for users interested in how Danish land is used, and how this changes over time - including analyses of how different land covers and land uses may compete as demand for more urban land or more protected nature will have to mean less of other uses., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The statistics are well documented and transparent, building on all relevant map sources for the land cover of Denmark. Quality of the land use accounts is considered to be good, but the uncertainties are bigger than for the land cover. This is because the method is new and these accounts are the first published of their kind. As for many other statistics, the higher level of detail, the higher the uncertainties. , Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, Statistics on the size of Denmark's land area is published by the end of February, in the year following the reference year. On the other hand, land by land cover and land use by industry do not have a fixed publishing rhythm, but have so far been published at years intervals. These statistics are published without delay, with reference to the announced time of publication in the release calendar., Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The land cover accounts is fully compatible between 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2024. Compatibility with older statistics on land cover is limited, as there have been major changes to sources as well as methods. Land use has so far only been measured for one reference year., Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, Statistics on the size of Denmark, land by land cover and land use by industry are published in the StatBank under , Land use accounts, and , Natural resource accounts, . The statistics are used to compare the state of health among NEETs and the remaining group of active young people. These statistics have been compiled since 2019. With the publication of data from 2024, the statistics changed from publication of data for all people aged 16-24 to publication of data for all people aged 16-29., Statistical presentation, Health among young people not in employment, education or training (NEET) are a yearly measurement of hospital utilisation, consultations with physicians and purchases of prescription medicine among 16-29-year-olds stated in number and proportion of people, as well as number of contacts with the hospital system and selected health professionals/redeemed prescriptions per person. The statistics are grouped by NEET status (the NEET group vs. the remaining group of active young people), sex and by geography., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Data for these statistics are collected yearly from the Register-Based Labour Force Statistics and the two health statistics: the Hospital Utilisation Statistics and the Health Insurance Statistics as well as the Register of Pharmaceutical Sales. Collected data are not further validated. Instead, collected data are merged, and the detailed information about the population's hospital utilisation, consultations with physicians and purchases of prescription medicine is aggregated into the final statistical output., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistics are relevant for professionals, analysts and other interested parties as a basis for elucidation and in-depth analyses of the health of the NEET group., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The overall accuracy of these statistics is high, which means that they are a good measure of the health status among the NEET group and the remaining group of active 16-29-year-olds. However, it should be noted that the operationalization of NEET status implies a great diversity within the NEET group, for this reason far from all young people in this group should be designated vulnerable. Overall, the statistics are reliable, as both the data and methods are of good quality. As the statistics only release final figures, revisions are not expected., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, These statistics are published within 1.5 years after the end of the reference period. Users of the statistics is e.g. business and tourism organisations as well as municipalities and regions to analyse the development in tourism. Furthermore the statistics is used to identify the most popular marina areas in Denmark. The survey is collected on a voluntary basis and is made in collaboration with VisitDenmark. The survey has been compiled since 1992. The survey went from mandatory to voluntary in 2004 which has had an impact on the response rate and thus also the comparability over time., Statistical presentation, The statistics regarding marinas is a monthly seasonally survey about boats and guest nights spent by visiting yachts in marinas in the months of May-September. The statistics are divided into nationalities of the guests, as well as geographically by regions, parts of the country and waters. In addition, there is an annual assessment of the capacity of marinas divided into parts of the country and the size of the marina. Numbers of Municipal distribution is published at the homepage of VisitDenmark., Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Data for the statistics is collected monthly for for the reference months May to September. The monthly statistics shows temporary data for the activity in the marinas. If a marina has not reported data from the same month the year before is imputed. At the end of the reference year the imputed data is replaced by reported final data for the year. The numbers of nights spent at marinas are calculated by using a average factor for the size of the crew. The average factor is based by a survey made by VisitDenmark in 2017. Data for the statistics is collected via an upload solution or by a electronis questionaire. The collected data undergoes micro-level debugging during the actual collection and at the macro-level when the data is aggregated., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistics are relevant for e.g. the companies, industry associations, municipalities and regions as well as business and tourism organizations as a basis for forecasts, analyses and planning purposes., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The marina statistics was made voluntary from 2004 which may influence the comparability over time as well as the coverage. The statistics cover the period from from 1996 and is published yearly in March. The statistics were first published in 1922 and the method used for calculating the corporate tax has not changed since the first publication. , Statistical presentation, The statistics are an annual account of the taxable income and tax for all companies. The statistics provide information about how many companies that actually pay corporate tax in Denmark. The statistics are shown by type of company and type of industry. The tax is divided by industry and type. , Read more about statistical presentation, Statistical processing, Data is received annually from the Danish Tax Agency. The companies’ information is combined and checked for consistency between a tax declaration part, an assessed part, a joint taxation part, and a deficit part. The validation takes place by comparing the level of the total corporate taxes in relation to the previous year, where both business tendencies and possible tax rate changes are taken into account., Read more about statistical processing, Relevance, The statistics are part of the general economic debate. The statistics are in demand from ministries, politicians, public and private institutions, researchers, enterprises and news media. The statistics often gets a lot of attention in the media and among other professional users., Read more about relevance, Accuracy and reliability, The statistics cover all taxable companies. The data are subject to error detection and results control before publication. Error are corrected in collaboration with the Danish Tax Agency. In general, companies have great incentive to report on time, as they otherwise have to pay a tax supplement. The tax can unpredictably either increase or decline, which is impossible to correct for. The unpredictable changes occurs among other things because of errors in either taxable income or a long review time and process. The corrections are allocated to the relevant year., Read more about accuracy and reliability, Timeliness and punctuality, The statistics are published in March year two after the income year. The finalised corporate taxes are published in March year three after the income year. The statistics are usually published without delay in respect to the scheduled time. , Read more about timeliness and punctuality, Comparability, The statistics were published for the first time in 1922 and the method for computing the tax has not changed – only the tax rate has changed. The taxation systems vary widely across countries, both in terms of conceptual and computational differences which makes the comparison difficult. The statistics are used when computing the overall surplus (Net lending / net borrowing) in government finance statistics. , Read more about comparability, Accessibility and clarity, In the StatBank the figures are published under , Corporation taxation, .
