User access

Statistics are always published at 8:00 a.m. at the day announced in the release calendar. No one outside of Statistics Denmark can access the statistics before they are published.

On-line database

The statistics are published in the Statistics Bank under the subject area Social Support Services in the following tables:

• SIU001: Municipal expenditure on social services by municipality, unit, measure and age.

The table presents the number of recipients, total unit expenditure, mean unit expenditure, median unit expenditure, and the first and third quartiles.

• SIU002: Municipal expenditure on social services by municipality, unit and function group.

The table presents the number of recipients, total unit expenditure, mean unit expenditure, median unit expenditure, and the first and third quartiles.

Micro-data access

Researchers and other analysts affiliated with authorised research institutions may obtain access to the anonymised microdata underlying the statistics through Denmark’s Data Portal for specific research, evaluation and analytical projects.

Confidentiality - policy

Statistics Denmark's Data Confidentiality Policy is applied.

Confidentiality - data treatment

To protect statistical confidentiality, a number of disclosure control measures are applied when producing the Statistics Bank tables and the microdata. To reduce the risk of identifying individual persons, the Statistics Bank tables present data only in aggregated form by municipality, type of social service, functional category and age (see Section 'Classifications and Groupings').

In addition, primary and secondary cell suppression are applied using the Tau-Argus software. Under primary suppression, cells containing fewer than five observations are suppressed. Secondary suppression is then applied to prevent suppressed values from being derived from totals or other published table values, thereby ensuring that the tables can be published without compromising statistical confidentiality.
